What is your name?

My name is Owoeye Korede.. People mostly refer to me as Omolawyer

What school do you attend?

I am a publicist / promoter by profession.. (and I love my job)

What's that all about?

Being a promoter or publicist basically means having the full capacity or ability to promote, push or publicise a person or his or her brand to their target audience. Sadly , Digital Marketers, Social Media influencer, Brand Builders and Content Creators are easily mixed up by the society

Is there a difference between a PR and an online promoter?

Uhm... That's a confusing question..

Digital marketers sell your brand to the crowd using digital means.. Social media influencer have the ability to trend stuff or put your stuff every where on the media.. Content creators are like the creative thinkers that can give you business plans and tactics.. Ideas and strategies.. Brand builders build a brand from the scratch and are faithful to that brand. So

they are all different..these are like the branches of publicity... Though we have people that can do all of the above but not every one can... Some have their strengths.

Can someone with a lot of followers on social media be termed a PR?

No... That dosent mean at all.. People with lots of followers and promote only on social media are digital marketers and social media influencer. These people do online promotions and can't perform offline(offline in terms of radio, TV etc)

Someone can have large followers on instagram but not on twitter hence his crowd is limited and his strength is on instagram. So large following doesn't exactly qualify one to be a Pr

Who are the artistes you've worked with?

I have worked with some artists like Brainee, Timmss obey Pepenazi Kaylu, Majortunes and some others directly while Reekado banks, 1dabanton and some others, we had distant working relationships. I have had nice times with these artists especially the first ones I mentioned.

What brands have you worked for?

my Brand has worked with a lot of brands and events. Ntcawards, QMI( Queen Moremi International) NigeriaHypeAwards, Djconsequence, to mention a few and I had really good times with these guys.

Any role models?

My role models are basically the ones that started Promoting officially and made it something for us to look up to. Pamilerin, KingPexxie, Tpublicist, Tomiwa, Bigtimi, Shiwenzi, Steevane, Teejay and a few others

Plans for the future?

In the future I want to learn how to understand my clients more and also deliver appropriately . I also want to work with bigger names and step on to greater heights

2018 is our year

. I feel 2018 is the year for the up and coming artists and also the year managers, Publicists and Djs will be recognised more.
